Privacy policy
This policy explains what information Ozard processes, why we use it, and the choices available to you.
Last updated: August 25, 2026
1. Information we process
Depending on the features you use, we may process:
- Account information: name, email address, authentication provider, user identifier, and account preferences.
- Study content: prompts, notes, PDFs, images, audio, questions, generated study material, and files you choose to upload.
- Usage and technical data: feature interactions, browser and device details, IP address, timestamps, diagnostics, and security logs.
- Subscription data: plan, product identifier, subscription status, renewal and expiry dates, and transaction references supplied by our billing providers.
- Support communications: messages and information you send when you ask us for help or exercise a privacy right.
2. How we use information
We process information to:
- create and authenticate your account;
- provide the study features and generate the content you request;
- store, organise, sync, and retrieve material in your private workspace;
- manage subscriptions, entitlements, limits, and customer support;
- protect Ozard from abuse, fraud, unauthorised access, and security incidents;
- measure reliability and understand how features can be improved; and
- meet legal, accounting, tax, and regulatory obligations.
Where applicable, our legal bases include performing our contract with you, complying with law, protecting our legitimate interests in operating a secure service, and consent where the law requires it.
3. AI processing and service providers
Ozard relies on specialised service providers to operate its infrastructure, authentication, AI features, analytics, communications, and billing. These may include providers such as Firebase, Cloudflare, Fly.io, OpenAI, Mixpanel, RevenueCat, Polar, and LiveKit, depending on the feature you use.
We share only the information reasonably needed for a provider to perform its service and require providers to handle it under applicable contractual and security obligations. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users and the service, or as part of a corporate transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
4. Payments
Polar acts as merchant of record for Polar checkout transactions, and RevenueCat helps us manage mobile subscription entitlements. Polar collects and processes payment details, billing information, tax information, receipts, and refund requests under its own terms and privacy notice. Ozard receives subscription and transaction status but does not receive or store your full payment-card number.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar local-storage technologies that are necessary for sign-in, security, preferences, and core product functionality. Where configured, analytics helps us understand feature usage and diagnose reliability problems. You can control non-essential browser storage through your browser settings, though blocking required storage may prevent parts of Ozard from working.
6. Retention
We keep account and study information while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the service. We may retain limited records after account closure where reasonably necessary for security, dispute resolution, backup integrity, fraud prevention, or legal and financial obligations. Retention periods vary by data type and purpose.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls and encryption in transit where supported. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so you should also protect your account credentials and avoid uploading information you do not need Ozard to process.
8. International transfers
Some providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use recognised transfer mechanisms and contractual protections. Local law may also provide specific rights relating to international transfers.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority.
Send requests to bilgi@kantakademi.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
10. Children and students
Ozard is designed for students, but it is not intended to be used without any consent or authorisation required by local law. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information without the required permission, contact us so we can review and address the request.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Ozard, our providers, or legal requirements change. The latest version and effective date will remain available on this page. Questions can be sent to bilgi@kantakademi.com. Our registered office is at Maslak Mahallesi, Eski Büyükdere Caddesi, Giz 2000 Plaza No: 7, İç Kapı No: 34, Sarıyer, Istanbul, Türkiye.
